Goal Questers ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Goal Questers website and mobile application (the "Service"). For the purposes of the GDPR, Goal Questers acts as the Data Controller.
We only collect data that is strictly necessary to provide the Service:
• Account Data: Email address or phone number. We do not collect or store passwords; access is managed via a secure One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your provided contact method.
• Profile Data: Your profile picture, bio, and social links.
• User-Generated Content: Goal titles and descriptions, comments, comment photos and goal photos.
• Social Interactions: We collect the "social glue" that connects our community, including comment likes, "cheer-ups," and user follows.
• Technical Data: * Time Zone: We read your System Time Zone to ensure accurate goal tracking and streak maintenance.
• Language: We read your Device Language settings to provide tailored content.
• Location: We do not collect or track your precise GPS location.
• Diagnostics: We use Sentry to monitor app stability. This data is used solely to identify and fix technical crashes and is not linked to your identity for marketing purposes.
Your data is stored securely on our dedicated servers hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. By using the service, you acknowledge that your data is processed on these servers. All user content is stored under strict access controls and is never licensed or sold to third parties.
We believe you should have total control over your data.
• In-App Deletion: You can delete your entire account at any time via the Settings screen.
• Effect of Deletion: Once you confirm deletion, all your data - including your profile, goals, comments, photos, and historical data - is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our active servers.
We do not sell your data. We only share the minimum necessary information with the following:
• Hetzner: For secure data hosting and image storage.
• Sentry: For real-time error reporting and app performance monitoring.
• GDPR (EU): Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of the contract (the Terms of Service). You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data.
• CCPA (California): We do not sell personal information. California residents have the right to request a disclosure of the categories of data collected.
• Minors: Consistent with our Terms, we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (or the legal minimum age in your jurisdiction).
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption during transit (SSL/TLS) and the use of OTP for secure, password-less authentication.
